Canción extraída del último trabajo de la banda británica afincada en Brighton, The Maccabees “Given to the wild” (2012). Este tercer álbum del grupo anglosajón supone un enorme salto cualitativo respecto a los dos discos anteriores; “Colour it in” (2007) y “Wall of Arms” (2009).

Grabado junto a los productores Tim Goldsworthy y Bruno Ellingham (LCD Soudsystem), en “Given to The Wild”, The Maccabees ha conseguido alcanzar un sonido maduro propio de una banda ya consagrada.

Guitarras atmosféricas, coros, arreglos de teclado, elevan al nivel de épico todas las canciones del tercer disco del grupo de Indie pop británico. “Given to the wild” estará a buen seguro en las listas de los mejores discos de este recién comenzado año.

El tema de la semana, “Unknown”, representa la quinta esencia de este nuevo álbum de los chicos de Brighton. Buenos ritmos y riffs de guitarra con un sonido atmosférico que va in crescendo. Especial atención a los agudos tonos de voz de Orlando Weeks, vocalista de The Maccabees, hacia el final de la canción que pone el broche final al tema y siembra una gran curiosidad por escucharlo interpretado en directo.
